1. Constructing a Complex Sentence 
為了方便理解，這里我們以這個簡單句為例：
Cars cause air pollution.
它可以從以下幾個方面思考去變復雜句：
why? Why do cars cause air pollution?
where? Where do they cause it?
how? How do they cause it?
when? When do they cause it?
這里我們以why為例：
Cars cause air pollution because their engines emit harmful gas into the 

atmosphere.
Because cars emit harmful gas into the atmosphere, they cause air 

pollution. 也可以放在前面作dependent clause
2. Adding an Opening
給陳述性事實加入一個開頭，例如：
It is known to all that cars cause air pollution because their engines 

emit harmful gas into the atmosphere.
也可以用 Some people think that/ It is often considered that 等。
3. Adding a Relative Clause
適當加入定從修飾人，物或者地點。例如：
It is known to all that cars, which remain the most popular means of 

transport in many countries, cause air pollution because their engines 

emit harmful gas into the atmosphere.
